UNH MacFarlane Greenhouse Poinsettia Trials

For the past few years,  NHOS has partnered with the UNH greenhouses, helping them diversify and enhance their demonstration orchid collection.    We have helped thin their duplicates, divide their specimen plants, and find new homes for some plants.  At the same time we've donated divisions and plants, often smaller mature plants from many different genera to showcase the diversity of the orchid family for students.  The orchid collection is housed within a diversified greenhouse with many succulents, tropical plants, and insectivorius plants.  

NHOS members are welcome to attend the Open House at the Macfarlane Greenhouses  on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday..   This coincides with the spectacular UNH Greenhouse Holiday Poinsettia Open House.  Members are welcome to tour the facility any of the 3 days on their own.
